The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) is a hands-on option for students in Years 11 and 12. The VCAL gives you practical work-related experience, as well as literacy and numeracy skills and the opportunity to build personal skills that are important for life and work. Like the VCE, VCAL is an accredited secondary certificate and also provides pathways to certificate and diploma courses.

As Stott’s Colleges is also a Registered Training Organisation our students are able to integrate Certificate courses in Hospitality or Business as part of their VCAL studies. Students are then able to enter a Diploma course with Stott’s, followed by second year entry into one of our university pathways. This means that students leave Stott’s at the end of year 12 with established university pathway and accredited Certificate courses which puts them well ahead of other secondary school students.
