127 Years Young

In 1883 the volcano Krakotoa erupted, slavery was banned in the British Empire and Stott’s College was opened. So next year we’re celebrating our 127th birthday and planning some special party activities.

We’ll give you more details of our celebratory events soon and, in particular, announce details of involvement from past Stott’s students. There are a lot out there and we want to celebrate the many success stories which began here.

Some of these events are certain to be held in our own restaurant shortly to be opened alongside our campus on Lygon Street – one of the most famous restaurant ‘strips’ in the world. The refurbishment is nearing completion and its opening will be another landmark in our long history.

Currently, our hospitality and cooking courses held in a separate part of this refurbishment are gaining popularity and strength. If you want to learn to cook on Lygon Street or have a look at our training kitchen just contact us on 03-96633399 or check out the course section on the website.
