The Diploma of Hospitality – incorporating the Certificate III & IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – prepares students for the exciting world of all things hospitality. From restaurants to cafes, hotels to resorts, learn invaluable skills in this rapidly growing area. Stott’s Colleges’ cooking school is located in the heart of internationally known Lygon Street, Carlton, amongst some of the most famous restaurants in Melbourne.

Developed on the new Hospitality Training Package Program (SIT07) this 2 year course is offered in eight, ten week blocks. There are 20 hours of training a week, spread over three days and delivered in a variety of ways to keep it exciting, relevant and to give you the fundamental skills to succeed in the industry. Whether it is training in the classroom or some online modules, the real action takes place in our new state-of-the-art kitchens, fitted with all the latest equipment that you would expect in a commercial kitchen. All our trainers have extensive practical knowledge in hospitality and cooking and are qualified trainers.

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent as a qualified chef or cook in a supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen. Work would be undertaken in various kitchen settings, such as in restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes, cafeterias and coffee shops.
